| Security Tips Dear Valued Customer, The internet has become widely accepted for banking online. While we have taken all the possible measures to ensure security and confidentiality of our online banking system, you play an important role in protecting your personal information and password, you have to protect your information at all times, be it over the internet or during your normal banking activities. We wish to remind you of the following tips to ensure privacy and confidentiality of your online Banking experience, to name but a few; -
Select a password that is difficult for others to guess. Do not associate your password with anything personal such as birthdays, names, and phone numbers. -
Change your password on a regular basis (e.g. each 30 days as a minimum) or when you feel that your password is compromised. -
Keep your personal and / or banking information (e.g. password, Credit card number, etc) confidential. Your PIN / Password should be memorized and not recorded anywhere. -
You should always be careful when receiving unsolicited emails or calls asking you to disclose any personal details or card numbers. Housing Bank for Trade and Finance will never ask you for any personal and / or banking information (e.g. password, Credit card number, etc) through email or Phone. If you receive such requests, do not respond and please report it to us immediately on the Call Center number (5200400). -
When logging on to the Housing Bank internet banking site, look for the security certificate before entering the User name & Password. To view the security certificate, click on the "lock" icon at the right bottom of the page if you are using Internet Explorer. For Netscape browser users, you can view the certificate by selecting Security Info under Communicator – Tools. -
Always remember to log out using the "Log out" button and never leave the PC unattended when logged on. Be ware of emails offering you the chance to make easy money in exchange of services & / or using your account to transfer money. Do business only with companies / individuals you know and trust.
