The Housing Bank, the largest and most widespread bank in Jordan, has announced its participation in King Hussein Cancer Center's national campaign 'Up to the Challenge'.
The campaign, which was launched on World Cancer Day and will run from 4 February until 28 February, aims to promote and adopt healthy habits including quitting smoking, healthy eating, using the stairs instead of the elevator, and lowering sugar intake, all in a bid to fight and prevent cancer.
The Housing Bank took part in the stairs challenge, in which Housing Bank employees and customers gave up using the elevator in a move to show their concern and responsibility in raising awareness about cancer and ways of fighting it for a cancer-free future.
The Bank's management applauded King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation's national campaign and efforts to raise awareness about cancer and provide the best comprehensive healthcare with the highest standards, as well as mobilize efforts to fight against cancer in Jordan and the region.
The Housing Bank's participation in the 'Up to the Challenge' campaign is in line with its corporate social responsibility strategy that focuses, through one of its programs, on the health aspect that aims to boost the productivity and efficiency of employees and therefore promote their performance at work by preventing disease. This participation also reiterates the Bank's support for the efforts of King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation in their fight against cancer, as well as its commitment to support and adopt several community initiatives targeted towards achieving sustainable and comprehensive development.
