Housing Bank Signs Memorandum of Understanding with King Hussein Cancer Foundation
In the framework of continuous cooperation and support of the Housing Bank to King Hussein Cancer Foundation, the Foundation and the Bank signed a memorandum of understanding, under which the Bank joins to the Foundation's "Naming and Honoring" program by donating JOD 50,000 to name an "Intensive Care Unit" in the new extension of the center, where the Foundation seeks to complete it in order to accommodate the growing numbers of cancer patients from Jordan and Arab world.
The Bank's support to expand the new building of the center comes as an embodiment to the Bank's vision in practicing its social responsibility. The Bank also assured the importance of private institutions in supporting social services projects with its various goals and objectives.
In this occasion, HRH Princess Dina Mer'ed expressed her gratitude to the Housing Bank and stated: "We, in King Hussein Cancer Foundation Center appreciate and value each small or big donation that helps us in continuing our struggle particularly that this support comes in difficult times. We are suffering from tremendous pressure; where we're trying hard to fill the big financial gap we face in order to complete our new extension project".
It is worth mentioning that the Housing Bank is one of the main and constant supporters of the Foundation. The Bank annually supports many activities in the Foundation, such as the national campaign and media competition for the "Jordan Breast Cancer Program". The Bank donated JOD 30,000 during 2014, and will continue on this approach for three years starting from the year 2015.
Also it is noteworthy that the Housing Bank practices its social responsibility in many occasions, where the Bank always exists as a "sponsor, supporter, and participant" in many social activities, and health, sport, cultural, humane programs. The Bank is keen to initiate in serving our homeland and citizens by cooperation with many relevant private and public institutions and sectors in order to support confidence and cooperation bridges with all Jordanian segments of the society.
