Organized by the Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA), Exporter Gala Dinner was sponsored by the Housing Bank and attended by Peter Millet, the British Ambassador, and elite of the business sector in Jordan.
During his speech, the Ambassador stressed that economic reform and growth are basis for stability in Jordan, while leadership, creativity and support of small and medium enterprises are vital for these reforms, and that elements of economic growth are represented in supporting innovation, which is a way to face challenges.
Omar Abu Wassha, President of JEA called for the emphasis to exert efforts to increase our exports to UK, especially since there are opportunities to develop, and everyone must promote trade between the two countries. Finally, Abu Washha thanked the Bank for its ongoing support of JEA.
Sponsorship of the Bank of the JEA Gala dinner emerged from its social responsibility "which cares the most", and based on the Bank's permanent and continues seeking to strengthen relations of cooperation with various economic and commercial sectors in the Kingdom, and to maintain relations with senior businessmen and exporters, for their effective role in supporting the national economy and elevate it to higher levels.
In this regard, it is appropriate to acknowledge the prominent role of JEA in supporting the export sector in Jordan, through the organization and holding courses, seminars and meetings with different bodies, aiming at the follow up of the interests and concerns of this sector, in addition to providing market information needed and constant quest to market the Jordanian product by opening new horizons around the world.
