The Housing Bank co-sponsored the small and medium enterprises entrepreneurs in presence of Hatim Al Halawani, the Minister of Industry & Trade in an embodiment of the Bank's role and recognition of the importance of the SMEs and their economic role in leveraging the national development.
The Forum was designed to introduce the mechanism of the facilities granted to the loans securities with a view to assist the SMEs to grow, expand and create more business opportunities. To this end, the Government in collaboration with the private sector has drawn also carried out economic policies that contribute to enhance the Jordanian industrial sector and enable it to penetrate non-traditional markets and prompts it to overcome obstacles encountered to obtain finance and soft loans using the appropriate financial instruments.
Expressing the interest of the Bank in these vital and important sectors, the Bank has created departments specialized in the small and medium enterprises and staffed them with the necessary competencies. Furthermore, the Bank introduced a set of banking services and recognized a number of flexible banking policies that may cater for the needs and requirements of the segment empowered it to invest all opportunities necessary to carry on their growth and development.
It is worth noting in the field that the Bank has recently developed financing products for the small enterprises as well as other products through financing the business compounds within a chain of products designated to a broad segment of the small and medium enterprises whereby the Bank has provided broad financing options for the industrial and commercial activities and vocational businesses.
The Housing Bank's patronage of the Forum came within the exercising of its social responsibility and in line with the Bank's continued and permanent endeavors to beef up the cooperative relations with the various economic and commercial sectors in the Kingdom for their effective role in supporting the national economy and to keep pace with and ascend to the highest levels.
