The Housing Bank sponsored the activities of the third
international conference on linguistics organized by the faculty of arts at Al
Al-Bait University during the period 21-22 of April 2015. The conference was
held in participation with a number of professors, researchers and academics in
the field of Arabic Language and is expected to ultimately benefit the Arabic
language in general and the Arabic grammar in specific.
The conference titled "Theory of Arabic grammar between
then and now" provides an opportunity for the participants to share their
experiences and researches and to take advantage of the conference, which
sought to achieve a number of goals including: addressing the grammar component
in the linguistic system of the Arabic language from a heritage perspective,
addressing the grammar component in the linguistic system of the Arabic
language in a modern lingual treatment, and clarifying the relationship between
educational theory grammar and proper education, and to take advantage of
acoustic, semantic and morphological achievements that emphasize the
integration among the branches of the Arabic language.
The sponsorship of this conference stems from the
strong belief of the Housing Bank in the importance of supporting literary
conferences and to emphasize the Bank’s socially responsible role, because such
conference is important to serve the language and literature streams in
Jordanian universities and contributes to the empowerment of the Arabic
Language to survive as the nation’s native tongue.
