The Housing Bank, the most widespread bank in the Kingdom, recently financed the full equipment and renovation of a medium-care room for patients at the Department of Oncology and Cancer in Al-Bashir Hospital. The room, which has been prepared according to the highest internationally recognized medical standards, was donated by the Housing Bank as part of its support of the Himmetna campaign.
The Housing Bank is an avid supporter of healthcare institutions in their fight against cancer, which is an integral part of its corporate social responsibility strategy that aims to work with initiatives and programs that support those less fortunate.
According to Housing Bank CEO Ammar Al-Safadi, "Today, we are proud of supporting this humanitarian initiative, which is in sync with our goals to provide cancer patients with access to world-class care in a safe environment. We feel honored to have had the chance to fully equip and renovate a medium-care room for patients receiving treatment at Al-Bashir." Al-Safadi went on to praise the efforts of Himmetna, which has been working to renovate the hospital's oncology department.
Safadi added that Housing Bank's participation in the Himmetna initiative is yet another demonstration of its continuous support for the Jordanian healthcare sector and the provision of the highest possible services to patients, noting that the bank has a strategic partnership with a number of institutions including the King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation.
Himmetna, which was launched in August 2018, works to upgrade and renovate the Department of Oncology and Cancer at Al-Bashir Hospital, providing the unit with state-of-the-art medical services and a pleasant environment for cancer patients through partnerships between the public and private sectors. The initiative also seeks to champion the rights of less fortunate cancer patients who receive treatments outside specialized centers such as KHCC.
