The Project Finance Department of the Housing Bank was established in 2001 to aggressively capture a significant market share of financing, managing and underwriting the financing of private, corporate and governmental infrastructure projects, and to introduce a complete package of project finance advisory services. Among the approaches we follow in project and structured finance are BOT, BOO and BOOT. Our exposure is distributed across most industries but our particular experience is in the infrastructure sector.
Project financing involves complicated arrangements involving many parties and many steps. Borrowing is normally in the form of syndicated term loans between a number of different financial institutions which might be local, regional, multilateral or any combination of the three. It also can be in the form of solo lending or club deals. The steps involved are: Due Diligence, Financial Modelling, Capital Structuring, Credit Analysis, Legal Documentation and so on.
